My name is Tony, I wanted to thank you guys for the awesome content that you have been providing for years. I’m am an old head with very little affiliation with UTSA other than I am and have been a big supporter. Back in the mid 2000’s when I was living in Dallas after I served in the USN, I used to play alot of NCAA Football and would create UTSA before football existed. One of my buddies and I, that was living with me at the time used to constantly have conversations on whether UTSA should have football, SA needs a team to root for. We graduated from SA Madison back in the day by the way. So, on a whim I was drunk and wrote a letter via email to the then AD Lynn Hickey practically begging to bring football to UTSA. Well, less than a year later, they announced that a feasibility study was going to be done, and as we well know approval to start a football program soon followed. I feel very vested in this program due to my drunken email to Lyn Hickey. Don’t know whether she actually read it or not but we got football and you guys are by far my favorite means for info on this team and I again thank you so very much!! I’ve got so much more to say but I’ll stop there. Go Runners!!
