UTSA wideout Decorian “JT” Clark has had a monster first half of a 2022 season, racking up 618 yards and seven touchdowns over 39 catches. While Clark leads the Roadrunners in yards per catch, he’s also stepping up to lead off the field as well.

A women’s study major at UTSA, JT has partnered with The Empower House in San Antonio to help raise funds for the organization’s mission of improving reproductive health services, providing tutoring, mental health access, health education, and much more to disenfranchised women on the East Side of San Antonio. The Empower House has provided nearly 900 breast health classes, over 370 youth empowerment classes, and 280 parent education classes to women on San Antonio’s East Side since the organization’s founding in 1999.

The Empower House will be holding their fourth annual Butterfly Brunch at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens on November 12th, 2022. The Butterfly Brunch is The Empower House’s primary annual fundraiser. A champagne brunch will be catered by Chef Jason Dady, and Michael Quintanilla will be emceeing the event. JT Clark has recorded a video message to be played for brunch attendees to share his thoughts on solidarity and what The Empower House means to him. Tickets to the event begin at $100.

In addition to the video message, JT will also be leveraging his talents on the field to help The Empower House in their mission to elevate women in San Antonio. For each catch JT has throughout the remaining games on UTSA’s schedule, a donation will be made to The Empower House in JT’s name. UTSA fans can join JT in raising funds for The Empower House by pledging to JT’s Pledge It page. Both one-time donation and per-catch pledges are welcomed.

“I am truly inspired by the impactful acts of kindness that The Empower House exhibits on a daily basis for the city of San Antonio, that I love so much. It’s a personal honor to be a part of their special day,” said Clark.

JT has already raised an estimated total donation of $524, but JT and the Empower House will need the help of Roadrunner Nation to meet their fundraising goal of $10,000. Please join us here at Alamodome Audible in contributing to this very worthy cause!
