Roadrunner fans’ dreams were dashed as UTSA allowed 18 unanswered points in a loss to Troy at the Cure Bowl. While the loss was definitely tough to swallow, we did learn a bit about the future of the Roadrunners with Chris Carpenter stepping into a starting role, and Justin Burke taking on play calling duties.
UTSA also offered up their finest defensive performance of the season, as Clifford Chattman set a school record for interceptions in a single season. The defensive front played out of their minds, led by an impressive performance from Freshman All-American Trey Moore.
